Established in 1970 in the historic town of Dabhoi (Darbhavati), Sheth Motilal Nathalal Contractor College of Education is dedicated to preparing qualified secondary school teachers. Initially operating from the Arts and Science College campus, it moved to its own building in 1974 through the generous support of Sheth Girdharlal Motilal Contractor. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute trains 108 teacher trainees annually through Gujarat's centralized admission process.
